It’s mid February! Which means I have a whole new exciting list of favourites for you! From Twitter accounts to follow, to new music you need to listen to, here are some things to get excited about this month:
Scott Kelly’s Twitter account
I have always been in awe of space and also a little frightened by it, but astronaut Scott Kelly’s Twitter account is filled with breathtaking photos that will inspire and fill you with awe. The images can make you feel a little small and I can only imagine that feeling is heightened when you’re actually out there, looking down at our blue planet and how miniscule we all are compared to the Earth itself. It’s definitely an account to follow, here are a few of my favourite shots:

Panic at the Disco’s new album
The last Panic at the Disco album I loved was their first: ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’. I remember listening to it and thinking this is amazing, it’s something completely new. I feel like they’ve gone back to their roots a little with this latest musical release and it’s definitely worth a listen. It’s called ‘Death of a Bachelor’ and my favourite tracks are Victorious, Emperor’s New Clothes and The Good the Bad and the Dirty. Urie’s vocals are as amazing as ever and there are some truly catchy lyrics to sing along to.
The Last of Us Left Behind game
I’m not the type of person who will buy the extra DLC expansions on games, I was so disappointed by Bioshock’s Burial at Sea that I said I wouldn’t do it again, no matter how much I loved the game. That was until I played the Last of Us. I’ve written before about how incredible this game is and the other day I decided to go against my vow and download the expansion game, Left Behind.
I wasn’t disappointed. Well okay, I was a little by the ending because I was hoping for a little more explanation and to actually see Ellie get attacked by the infected, but the game itself was great and gave some insight into how Ellie got Joel back on his feet after being impaled. It’s £7.99 on the PS Store at the moment and I’m going to play it through one more time then put together a review, which I’ll link through to later.
New Look homeware
So, I shouldn’t really be buying anymore homeware considering I’m moving back into my parent’s house soon and therefore don’t really have my own home to feature my wild and wacky items but I couldn’t help myself when I was in New Look at the weekend and found a whole display full of pastel, mermaidy delights.
I picked this cute shimmery mermaid shell cushion up and this adorable pug mermaid mason jar glass to feature in my house. If you’re looking for some new fun pieces to feature in your home then definitely plan a trip to your nearest store or check them out online.
New hair
It doesn’t take long for me to get annoyed with my longer hairstyle, you know what I mean girls – when it gets trapped under your bag strap or in your armpit or when your partner starts lying on it in bed, it’s time to go.
I like having longer hair because you don’t have to style it as much and can generally leave it to do it’s own thing but a good chop is a nice idea every now and again. Which I’ve done. I’m considering a Selina Kyle cosplay because when I curl it properly it sits on top of my head like hers…
Just a few things to check out this month. Well, besides my hair but I was just showing it off really.
